Dwayne Douglas
Dwayne Douglas Johnson, also well-known as The Rock was born May 2nd, 1972 in Hayward, California. He is the child of Ata Johnson (born Feagaimaleata Maivia) as well as professional wrestler Rocky Johnson (born Wayde Douglas Bowles). His fatheris from Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada and is white (of Black Nova Scotian descent) while his mother is from a Samoan origins (her mother's father was Peter Fanene Maivia, also a professional wrestler). Dwayne grew up traveling frequently and watching his dad perform in the wrestling box. During his high school years, Dwayne began playing football and was soon awarded full scholarships from The University of Miami, where there was tremendous success as an athlete. Dwayne had a back injury during 1995 that ended his chance to play within the NFL. After a year the player signed a three-year contract for the Canadian League. He left for a new career as a wrestler.
